Barcelona aiming for Copa Del Rey final spot as Villareal look to cause an upset

Barcelona are playing The Yellow Submarines with 3-1 lead from the first leg as the teams meet in the second leg of Copa Del Rey semifinal.

Barcelona are aiming to reach yet another final in copa del rey as they face Villareal in the return leg of Copa Del Rey semi-final fixture. The first leg was played a couple of weeks ago in the Camp Nou and Barcelona ran out 3-1 winners with goals from Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi. Manu Trigores equalised for Villareal sooner as the second half resumed but Villareal failed to hold on to the lead.

Thomas Vermaelen is the only injury concern for the Catalan giants as they look forward to beating the team who held Real Madrid 1-1 in the league just this weekend. Manager Luis Enrique is supposed to field his strongest team as he aims for a first trophy with Barcelona as a manager. Barcelona have won last 7 encounters in Copa Del Rey and will be hoping this will be the eighth one as they look forward to put last year’s disappointing defeat against Real Madrid in the final away.
