Manchester United will have the luxury of selecting their first choice goalkeeper against Newcastle United despite picking up a knock last week.
Manchester United were worried about the condition of Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea after there were news about goalkeeper picking up a knock in last weekend’s match in the league. But, the knock was just a minor one and Louis Van Gaal has cleared that the goalkeeper will be able to start in upcoming match against Newcastle United. United were able to win the last match after Wayne Rooney scored a brace.
Dutch Manager Van Gaal will without Robin Van Persie for this tie as the striker continues to recover from his injury. Luke Shaw and Phil Jones both sat out of the win against Sunderland and both of these could make a return in this game as Van Gaal opts to switch back to four at the back. Ander Herrera and Daley Blind will play as defensive midfielders whole Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young will play behind Radamel Falcao.
