After Frank Lampard and David Villa’s move to the MLS, NYCFC are aiming to add yet another World Class player in their ranks in the form of Xavi Hernandez. The spanish midfielder is out of contract in the summer and might seek for a move away from Catalan giants Barcelona. He has found his time limited in match despite being named as skipper for the club and one of the oldest player currently plying trade for the Catalan outfit.

The 34-year old has won three Champions League and Seven La Liga titles with the club and would love to end the career with Barcelona on a high note. Despite finding hard to get the playing time he is said to be happy with his role but if a move comes through where he can make good use of the experience he has collected, he will surely make it count.
