Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo looks to end a month long goalless run against Schalke

It has been a month since Cristiano Ronaldo last scored for Real Madrid and away tie to Schalke might be an end.

Since scoring a brace away at Getafe, Real Madrid and Portugese International winger Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to score a goal. It has been a month and Ronaldo has faced two match ban in the period after being sent off in 2-1 win over Cordoba. Ronaldo has made one assist and returned no goals in the last three match he has played.

However, things are not that gloomy as Ronaldo prepares for Champions League tie away to Schalke. Last season, Real Madrid walked away with a convincing 6-0 win from Germany, which is also biggest away win for the club in the competition. Ronaldo scored two goals in that match and created a couple as he starred in Schalke. Ronaldo again scored brace in the return leg as Real Madrid beat Schalke 3-1 at home to register emphatic 9-1 victory to fo through to the next round as Madrid went on to capture the famous La Decima that season.
