Nepal Army won their second title of the year after they overcame Jhapa XI in Final to win Pathari Gold Cup

Nepal Army Club continued their good run of form with yet another title as they won Pathari Gold Cup today. Army beat Jhapa XI by 2-0. Army took an early lead into the game as Deepak Gurung was on the scoresheet yet again as he continued his rich form in front of goal. Despite playing good game in the attacking third, Jhapa failed to capitalise chances and Yogesh Gurung’s effort went on vain. Gurung, who was adjudged man of the match despite ending up on the losing side was lively throughout.

Jhapa looked bleak on attack as they did not score any goal. Despite having a an advantage for the last twenty minute after Hiranya Magar was given marching orders, Jhapa could not go ahead in the match. Nawayug Shrestha doubled the tally and put the game in bed for Army. Nawayug was also adjudged player of the tournament and won Rs. 25,000.

The winners Nepal Army Club won Rs. 2,22,222 along with the trophy while the runners up Jhapa XI were awarded Rs. 1,11,111 along with the trophy.
