However Southampton forward Pelle could enjoy the situation as Balotelli’s absence and his recent form means he could get more playing times for his nation. Pelle could utilize his current run of form which will help Italy to get three points in front of the home fans.

Meanwhile De Rossi is set to earn his 100th cap for the national side when Italy will take on Croatia in their forth match of the group.
