Perfect start for Raju Kaji Shakya as Machindra beat Police

One of the title contender Nepal Police Club has been kn0cked out from the second Safal Pokhara Cup after getting trashed by Machhindra Club 2-1.

Nepal Police were without star performers and experienced player after Roshan Karki, Bhola Silwal, Jumanu Rai and Suman Subedi all were unable to make the squad due to injury. Machhindra were with full squad and new coach Raju Kaji Shakya.

From the very first minute of the match Machhindra attack the ball but fails to convert the opportunities. In 23rd minute of the match Machhindra were awarded a penalty after NPC fouls Deepak Rai and he didn’t give any chance to Ritesh Thapa ko save the ball. No addition goal came in the half as Nepal Police club failed to create any attack.

Nepal Police start second half with high hope but fail to create good chance and again in 58th minute of the match Machhindra doubles the tally after Karna Limbu strike ball in open post. Nepal Police struggled through out the match but goal from Dilip Rai in 66th minute gave them some hope but at last Machhindra didn’t gave any chance for cops to comeback.

Dipak Rai was awarded man of the match and Next match will be played between Himalayan Sherpa and RCT.
