Army Coach Meghraj KC: “Three Star and MMC weren’t the best team in the tournament”

Meghraj KC was delighted with a good start with his new team after Army beat NPC 2-0 in ANFA Cup 2071.

Nepal Army, playing first competitive tournament under Coach Meghraj KC defeated Nepal Police Club by 2-0 in ANFA Cup 2071. Nawayug Shrestha and Deepak Gurung scored a goal each for the departmental team.

Army were training for the tournament since one and half months ago and the coach was happy their hard work paid off well. “The players could not play upto their full potential because the weather was too hot, but we got the win and that mattered the most for boost of confidence among players.”, said KC.

Meghraj KC also said that all the teams in the tournament are of good quality but the teams that have won the matches had good team work. “Mananag and Three Star have star players but their teamwork is not good. The teams which registered win looked better combined and got the result”, said KC.
