APF beat Three Star by 1-0 after Ranjan Bista scored in last minute of the match.

Ranjan Bista scored a last minute goal to take his team to the Semi-finals of ANFA Knockout Football Tournament in Dasarath Stadium today. Coach Krishna Thapa was happy with the performance as they fielded a new faced team in the match today.

‘We hired five new players yesterday and played them all in starting lineup today. I took a huge risk by playing a new faced team and i am happy that it payed off well.’, said Thapa.

Krishna Thapa put up an offensive lineup with Jangbu Sherpa and Top Bahadur Bista up front and brought on goal-scorer Ranjan Bista 22 minutes from time.

‘We brought on Ranjan Bista in later stages of the match and he scored the winning goal in crucial time. It is going to be hard to select the team next game.’

APF have hired Man Bahadur Tamang, Aditya Chaudhary, Palsang Lama, Ramesh Dangal and Heman Gurung on contract basis till Chaitra.
