Arsenal and Manchester City play each other in English Season curtain raiser as the FA Cup champions Arsenal play league champions of last season Manchester City.

Team News:

Arsenal are set to hand first start for Alexis Sanchez after Olivier Giroud had a poor run in Emirates Cup. Callum Chambers and Mathieu Debuchy are also expected to start the match as Wenger looks to put up somehow new team against Manchester City. New signing David Ospina is still not fit for match action which means Wojciech Szczesny will guard the post in absence of Colombian international goalkeeper.

Alvaro Negredo was injured in Manchester City’s pre-season friendly and will miss this match as part of injury rehabilitation. Fernando is expected to debut in competitive match following Fernandinho’s extended rest following torrid World Cup campaign with Brazil. World Cup participants Sergio Aguero, Martin Demicheles and Pablo Zabalets will all sit out of the game while former Gooner Gael Clichy will be playing in the flank of the defense. Bacary Sagna will not be playing any part in the game as per the Manager Manuel Pellegrini.
