Indonesia will host Nepal on 25th June, the news was only revealed nine days before the kickoff. The players had very less time to prepare for the clash which suggests Nepal National Team players should work hard in the pitch to overturn series of defeats in recent International friendly matches.
With positives in the side, the players could be morally boosted one way. Bimal’s contract with Anderlecht and Jagjeet’s trial with Polish top division club could be something to celebrate. Meanwhile conflict in ANFA questions player’s future that could be another pressure which would disturb their performance in the upcoming friendly match. Nevertheless all positives and negatives, Nepal will take on Indonesia in a friendly match on 25th June and the task will be tough one for the mighty Himalayans as they face comparatively high ranked Indonesia away from their soil.
With Series of defeat against Afghanistan in SAFF Championship Semifinal followed by a friendly match against India, Yemen and Philippines; Nepal seeks for glory in an aim to keep distracted Nepalese Football fans pleased. Nepal has been deprived of goals in last four matches now and conceded eight goals in the process.
Indonesia in the other hand has produced satisfactory results in their recent matches. Their 1-0 victory over Andorra in a friendly match was followed by only a goal defeat to Cuba and a 1-1 draw against higher ranked Dominican Republic. The results suggest Nepal must stand strong and united in order to achieve admirable results against the ASEAN side.

Indonesia certainly is a football loving nation; the large attendance during the ISL matches suggests so. Meanwhile the Indonesian crowd will find a familiar face in their opponent’s clan as Rohit Chand who has been playing in the Indonesian league for two years now will feature for Nepal. Rohit has already joined the training session in Nepal.
Rohit Chand has almost played with every player in the squad, either be for or against them. Without any doubt he has been able to gather some fan following in Indonesia which means the match will be exciting one for his fans in either way, even if Rohit performs well or not.
Besides Rohit, another attraction of the match will be Bimal Gharti Magar, at least to the Nepalese Fans. With huge support from Nepalese fans, Bimal is expected to end the goals drought for Nepal. Young prodigy Magar who was kept out of Yemen and Philippines friendly due to examinations could be introduced against Indonesia and his two months training, couple of handful tournament experience and one month contract with Anderlecht Youth Academy could morally inspire him to perform excellent.
Selection Dilemma – Result or Future
The main aim of the friendly match will be to prepare for SAFF Championship 2015, however coach Jack Stefanowski could not afford to give away the result for experimenting. He has an option to keep couple of young U16 boys alongside Bimal in the squad. This could give them some high experience which they could use to contribute for the nation in Future. However it is yet to understand if Jack will concentrate in the result or in the future of National team.
