Colombia and Ivory Coast play each other in Group C encounter trying to book their Knock out stage berth.
This is the first meeting between the sides in an international match. Both the teams won their respective group matches and will be eying to make consecutive wins to make their places into the next round of the World Cup. A draw would mean they will have to depend on the results of upcoming matches to decide their fate in this World Cup.
Colombia won their first match of the World Cup quite convincingly with a 3-0 win over Greece. James Rodriguez was elected the man of the match in that game with a goal to his name. Pablo Armero scored the leading goal for the Colombian in early stages of the game while Teofilo Guiterrez doubled the lead in midway of the second half. Colombia will be eying to book their knockout stage berth with yet another win here.
Ivory Coast registered an emphatic comeback win over the Asian Champions Japan after they scored two goals in three minutes to complete a 2-1 win. Wilfried Bony leveled the match for the African team after they fell behind in the match with an excellent first half goal from Keisuke Honda. Minutes after the equalizer, Gervinho headed in from inside the box to put Ivorians in the lead and put the match out of Japan’s hands.
