Luis Suarez who underwent through a knee surgery got back to training with his team mates, he streatched and runnned and was smiling with his mates during the training session and everything looked fine that the Uruguyan striker would start in the much anticipated moment, however in a press conference, Uruguyan coach Óscar Tabárez confirmed that he would start Diego Forlan alongside Cavani and would not risk on the talisman.
Luis Suarez will fill the bench with other non playing squad, only to be used if necessary.
“A lot can happen in 24 hours,” said Tabárez, speaking ahead of his team’s training in Fortaleza’s magnificent Casteloa Arena on Friday.
“But we don’t want to jump the gun. We have prepared this match without counting on Luis, just in case he cannot play.
Speaking in a pre match conference, Uruguay boss Tabarez named Diego Forlan in his expected squad that would start against Costa Rica.
