ANFA U-16 team will train in Belgium’s academy ahead of the AFC U-16 Championship after Rene Koster and Luis De Vries helped to set up the move.

All Nepal Football Associtaion [ANFA] president Ganesh Thapa asked Rene Koster to talk to RSC Anderlecht to make the move possible. The team will train for two weeks in RSCA Academy.

Rene Koster along with Luis De Vries helped to set up the camp after ANFA President asked Rene to talk to the club on behalf of the federation. ANFA U-16 team is preparing for the upcoming AFC U-16 Championship to be held in Thailand from September 6-20.

Nepal qualified for the tournament after ending as Runners Up in SAFF U-16 Championship held in Nepal. Nepal lost 1-0 to India in the final of the tournament then. Nepal is pitted in Group D of AFC U-16 Championship and will play defending champion Uzbekistan in opening match. They will further play against Kuwait and North Korea in the group stages.
