The exclusion of Carlos Tevez was expected but the manager will have to answer a lot of questions if his decision backfires. With the talent they have in frontline, the manager might be right to not take Carlos along with him to Brazil. PSG Midfielder, Javier Pastore was though a surprise exclusion along with Tottenham midfielder Erik lamela who has missed much of this season with injury. Martin Demichelis has been called back to the squad after putting an excellent performance in Manchester City’s Premier League win.
Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez has been called up along with Fernando Gago and Ever Banega. Former Chelsea and Wigan forward Franco Di Santo was also called up to the squad. He is playing for Werder Bremen in Germany and the manager was impressed.
