Manager Joachim Loew of Germany reveals Preliminary World Cup Squad for the World Cup. 30 players are included in the preliminary squad where seven player will be excluded before they name the Final 23.
Manager Joachim Low has called up 30 players for preliminary squad selection for the World Cup to be held in Brazil in about a month. Germany are pitted in Group G along with Portugal, United States and Ghana. There are four newcomers in the side announced yesterday and Kevin Volland, Erik Durm, Leon Goretzka and Max Meyer made the cut. They will have to train hard and impress the manager if they are to be included in the final 23 that will fly to Brazil to play The World Cup.
Germany will play Poland in a friendly on 13th of May with their second squad. The squad wont feature players from Dortmund and Bayern along with the overseas one. Low has said this is the time to check the new faces and see if they can step up when needed.
