Valencia and Sevilla play each other at Mestalla for their second leg of UEFA Europa League Semi-finals.

Valencia vs Sevilla : Preview

Ricardo Costa of Valencia

The first leg between the teams ended 2-0 in favor of home team Sevilla. Valencia previously overturned a 3-0 deficit and they will need some inspiration from that game to overcome a surprise here.

Valencia:

Goalkeeper Diego Alves is yet to recover from his  injury so Guaita will be guarding the posts while Jonas might be given a nod in the front line with Paco Alcacer out suspended. Eduardo Vargas will continue to lead the attack on the other side. Jeremy Mathieu is a doubt but he is expected to guard the back line along with Ricardo Costa partnering him along. However, Juan Bernat might need to undergo a late fitness test to see if he is fit to play.

Probable Lineup:

Guaita: Pereira, Mathieu, Cista, Gaya: Feghouli, Parejo, Fuego, Fede: Jonas, Vargas

Sevilla:

Sevilla are worried about fitness of Diego Perotti and will have to undergo a late fitness test to see if he is fit to start or not. Cicinho and Sebastian Cristoforo are sure to miss the game as they are carrying an injury. Denis Cheryshev will also be assessed prior to the kickoff. Ivan Rakitic was used as a substitute in last league defeat to Atheltic and he is expected to start the match here. Coke will be back after missing the first leg due to suspension.

Probable Lineup:

Beto: Moreno, Parja, Fazio, Coke: Carrico, Mbia: Vitolo, Rakitic, Reyes: Bacca

Match Facts:

In the last six matches between these teams, Valencia has managed 2 wins and lost half of them while one ended as a draw.

Prediction:

Valencia have Costa back but will miss in form Alcacer while Sevilla have been handed a defensive boost. Unai Emery’s top target this season is to win the Europa after dashed Champions League hopes and he might put in a attacking lineup.

Valencia 2-1 Sevilla
