Chelsea will be hosting another team from London in the London derby and the first fixture of the week today. Both teams are in huge pressure to save their current league standing as Jose Mourinho’s are facing huge competition from Liverpool and Man City in the title race, whereas Arsenal can rise again as a title threat if they beat blue army at the Stamford bridge. 

According to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho left back Ashley Cole is out of the squad due to injury while David Luiz is fit enough to get back to the bench. Brazilian Midfield duo Willian and Ramires will be missing the clash following their red card in the match against Aston Villa.

Arsenal manager Arsne Wenger will be taking charge of the team for the 1000th time more than the any other active manager in the league. There is a huge problem for the gunners in the midfield as regular Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil and Walcott are all ruled out due to an injury, but they are hopeful of performing well as they did against another team from North London Tottenham Hotspurs.

Host Chelsea are undefeated in last 24 premier league matches at home and Jose Mourinho has never lost in the blue fort.

Chelsea lost their last match 1-0 against Aston Villa at villa park, whereas Arsenal registered 1-0 victory over their arch rival Tottenham.

The last match played between these two teams ended as a goal less draw played on 23rd December, 2013 at Emirites.
