The game lacked energy from both the side as the result would not upshot both the team’s position in the league. Given that Police were three points down to Three Star club and a victory could just make them equal in points with the defending champions, Police would be considered forth with a head to head rule, while APF would stand sixth no matter what the result be.
Given the circumstances, both team played rather cautiously and sluggishly which turned the first half goalless and the goal came only 10 minutes before the end of the game.
Ganesh Lawati first scored for the winning side in 82nd minute utilizing confusion in the Nepal Police Club defense before Rajendra Rawal tapped an easy ball in later in 88th minute to confirm APF’s victory in a positive note to end the tournament.
