RCT will take on Group D runner ups Boudha FC in the Third quarter final of Ncell cup on Monday. Lets have a flash back on how they entered the knock out stage.

RCT started the tournament as a underdog and was drawn in easy group comparing to other groups. They won all three matches and was only team in the tournament to collect all 9 possible points in the tournament. Their attackers looked like a hungry tigers, there three strikers scored 9 goals in 3 matches for them. The team looks little weaker in defending part but they can recovered easily with the attacking weapons they had.

RCT started tournament playing against Bansbari Club where they came back from 1-0 behind and won 2-1. In the match against Bamboo boys Amar Dongol scored 2 goals in last ten minutes to grab a surprise victory. In their second match they faced Sankata where they came back from 2-1 to win 3-2. In that controversial match Amar, Afeez and Yugal scored a each. In their last match of the group stage they gain a easy three points after Afeez scored twice as Yugal and Amar shared each. Final score of last match was 4-1.

Boudha way to Quarter final looked easy after they performed excitingly against each teams. The new young addition in the team are working hard and giving full dedication in the success of the team. They started the tournament with a 1-0 win over JYC. The last moment penalty decided the match. Against the NPC they worked hard and level the match 1-1. In their last fixture of the group stage they won 2-0 against Saraswoti youth club.

Boudha’s Defending has been a exciting joy part for the fans as they conceded only one goal in the group stage. The goal came from Nepal Police Club. Young athletic Subin Shrestha has lighted as a gems in the tournament as he has emerged as a face to watch in the upcoming days in the Nepali Football.
