APF shares spoils with CMG Sankata

APF came back twice to muster a 2-2 draw with CMG Sankata.

Sankata had a boost ahead of the match as their star striker Oladipo Afeez started the match with Salyan Khadgi back to the bench. Afeez proved his selection worth the hype as he scored the opening goal after tracking the ball all the way and pounced onto the mistake. His shot left no chance for goalkeeper. Sankata were handed a major blow after Afeez was sidelined due to injury in his knee which kept him out in previous matches. Sankata kept the lead onto the half time.

The second half started well fro the departmental team after their half time change made an instant impact as he assisted Ganesh Lawati for an equaliser. Pierre was left red faced after he collected the header inside the goal line.

Barsat Gurung then came into the match with a brilliant one touch finish from outside the box as he directed a low cross from Krishna Shakya towards the low far post leaving no chance for opposition goalkeeper. The joy was short-lived as APF then levelled the score yet again after Shyam Nepali converted the header into the goal and the game was alive again.

Towards the end of the match, Rajendra Rawal missed two chances where he was unmarked and the goalie was beaten. Both the crosses were from Shyam Nepali and Rajendra failed to capitalize the chances offered.
