Sankata started the Super League journey with a loss as they were beaten by Nepal Police 2-0 with goals from Jumanu Rai and Bharat Shah late in the second half.

‘We missed Olawale Afeez on attacking third very much. He is a very important member of the team and his absence was a major backlash”, Shakya said.

“The team played as per the expectation, we stopped them and kept on creating chances in a while, but we did not punish them on breaks and conceded at last.”

“Our target is to win every other game, but the result always does not come as per expectation, we must stay positive and move with the game.”

He stated that Afeez is still a doubt for the match after his injury in last match against RCT.
