Tribhuwan Army club are denied in the last minute as they fail to hold on to the first half lead added by veteran Raju Tamang.

It was Tribhuwan Army club that got the first attack in the game when Tanka Basnet’s run from the left side in 15th minute was followed by a header from Bharat Khawas, however Sagar Gurung did well to deny an early threat.

Although Army men did well to dominate the first 15 minute of the game, Yeti Himalayan Sherpa displayed an improved performance later; result of which came a chance for Sherpa when Suraj Hamal found himself one v one with goalkeeper Gangaram Deuja, however Suraj lacked confidence and released a shot from the edge of the box which went directly to the Army custodian Gangaram.

Army went ahead in the 24th minute when Raju Tamang got a rebound of Bharat’s poor first shot. Raju Tamang’s shot from the edge of the box found the back of the net as Army remained 1-0 ahead at the end of the first half.

Himayan Sherpa were down to 10 men when Bhupal Gurung was booked for the second time in 67th minute.

Despite of going down to 10 men, Yeti Himalayan Sherpa played a spiritual game and attacked, one of which came minute later when Pukar Ghataraj’s shot found the pole before going out for a goal kick.

Sherpa found the equalizer later in 84th minute as Aadma Sissoko denied Army men to return with full points.

With a draw, Army that was considered title challenger at the start of the season now has 11 points in 9 games and lies eighth while the mountaineers reserved sixth place with 12 points.
