Simrik Saraswati Youth Club gain full points in the game as they defeat NIBL Friends Club 1-0 to reduce relegation pressure.
Simrik Saraswati Youth Club makes sure they hold on to first half lead till the end of the game to register a win over NIBL Friends Club.
The game started with an early threat from NIBl Friends club when Lawal Afeez found a ball half cleared but his shot went off target in the fifth minute of the game.
Although NIBL Friends Club started early in the game, Simrik Saraswati did well to create some chances after the 10th minute of the game.
Pius Henry guided Saraswati forward after he controlled a through ball to score in a one v one position with Friends club goalkeeper Ajit Prajapati.
Simrik Saraswati Youth Club remained better one in the first half; however NIBL Friends club displayed an improved game in the second half.
NIBL Friends club created an early chance in the second half when Victor’s 55th minute run from the left flank was followed by a cross to Martin but the shot was not well connected.
Saraswati’s Tanku Basnet dribbled passed three defenders to make a final shot but his shot was denied by the flying young-man Ajit Prajapati.
Friends club missed a golden chance when Saraswati goalkeeper Luck Khatri failed to collect a cross from Victor, Bishnu KC got the ball, however his shot in a clear chance was directed over the target as Friends club were compelled to return without a point.
With the win, Simrik Saraswati Youth Club is now 6 points clear Boys Union club that remains at the relegation zone while NIBL Friends has 11 points from 8 games.
