Friends 1-0 Army –Army Fails to Deliver

Tribhuwan Army faces its second defeat in the league as they go down narrow to NIBl Friends club.

The first half remained quite a dull affair , both the sides until NIBL Friends Club got a lead that kept them ahead in the game.

NIBL Friends club were boosted with return of Deepak Bhusal who served three matches ban for being sent off against APF. His free kick delivery in the 28^th minute was put in by Martins to take NIBL Friends ahead in the game.

Nepal Army looked sloppy as they could not perform to their caliber. The absence of their center back was felt in the game as Jitendra Karki missed the match for suspension.

The second half created an early chance for NIBL Friends club as a free kick delivery from Anil Ojha in 51^st minute was headed inches wide by former APF man Arjun Subbha.

Nepal Army missed up coordination front line in the game, missing out possession in the game.

Deep Lama did well to replace Ajit Prajapati as he made an overwhelming save off Tanka Basnet’s long ranger in 77^th minute to keep Friends club full of life in the game.

Army was the dominating side in the second half while NIBL Friends club stayed active in counter moves. One possible chance came in 80^th minute for Friends when a ball sent in by Arjun Subbha was just wasted as Prashant Thapa failed to connect on a header.

NIBL Friends club were able to keep the lead , consequently they move to the second spot in the league table, however they will miss the service of goal scorer Martins who will be suspended in the next match to get too many cautious.
