Three Star club was boosted in attack with reunification of striking ace Dodoz. His presence was felt early in the game when his shot from 25 yards went only inches over the cross bar. The other move came two minutes later in 7th minute when Dodoz and Santosh Sahukhala coped up for a final touch from Dodoz which was poorly directed into Amrit Chaudary’s hand.

Dodoz

Leonce Dodoz did well to get another shot on target when his 14th  minute powerful shot from 22 yards found Amrit Chaudary’s fingertip before the ball was ruled by the cross bar.

Nepal APF got their first shot on target in 21st minute when Sudip Shikhrakar’s long cross was followed by a volley from Ranjan Bista but his final execution was directly in Kiran’s hand.

APF rescued a goal in 34th minute after a fine save from Amrit Chaudary who could deny a move from Santosh, Prakash and a final shot from Dodoz.

Santosh Sahukhala misses a great opportunity for Three Star when his shot from five yards six yard was off target.

The half turned out goalless after Prakash Budathoki’s shot from 30 yards on a free kick was well saved by Amrit who remained firm throughout the first half.

The second half started with Jagjeet Shrestha’s cross which was poorly justified by Santosh as he mistimed an open header in 48th minute.

Three Star got near to their first goal in 54th minute as Jagjeet’s delivery on a free kick was headed well by Bikram Lama in the frame but Sudip Shikhrakar was in perfect place to deny the goal.

The first goal for Starts came in 63rd minute when Jagjeet snatched a ball from Jangbo Sherpa in the midfield and passed it to Santsoh who passed back to Jagjeet and moved for a scoring position. Jagjeet placed it back to Santosh Sahukhala who did no mistake to put stars ahead.

Three Star got another goal five minutes later when Amrit Chaudary could not hold onto the shot from Santosh Sahukhala. Dodoz got the rebound and placed the ball easily inside the net to double the lead for the defending champions.

With two goals lead, Three Star changed to defensive formation while APF pushed harder to create some chances. Ganesh Lawati’s shot from 25 yards went way off target, however they halve the deficit when Sachindra Dhimal made a fine shot from difficult angle from left side. Prakash Budathoki’s attempt to save the ball found his own net, however the goal was credited to Sachindra whose shot already passed the line before Prakash made an effort to save the ball.

Nepal APF tried harder to get the equalizer but failed against Three star who played defensive game replacing Jagjeet Shrestha for Saroj Dahal and succeed to hold on the lead to gain all available points.
