The game remained in an even share of possession but neither team could create any threat to their opponent in the first period of the match; however APF comparatively enjoyed more depth in the game with some good moves but failed in the first test.
NIBL Friends Club were dull on attack, however the center half pair of Peter Segun and Susan Lama did well to intercept APF moves to make the scores level and nil at the end of first half.
Nepal APF got near to goal on a free kick that was delivered by Janghu Sherpa from 20 yards, however the flying young-man Ajit Prajapati stretched to hos full to punch away the ball.
Nepal APF got the lead in the counter move initiated by APF man Santosh Shrestha who delivered it to Janghu Sherpa, Janghu’s ball was well judged by Nabin Lama who made no mistake running from the left to place the ball in the right bottom corner for APF lead in 66th minute.
The moment tensed up when a brawl was started during the 8oth minute of the game, NIBL Friends Club captain Deepak Bhusal and APF’s Bishal Shrestha were both sent off to limit the players to 10 each in both teams.
APF club got good chance in the 88th minute, however Anil Ojha miss-timed an open header in Arjun Subbha’s delivery, missing an equalizing chance in the dying minute as the match ended 1-0 in APF’s favor.
