Nepal Police club’s victory over Nepal APF means Krishna Thapa’s troop are out the tournament from early stage, meanwhile NPC and LB Three Star Club secure quarter finals from same group, the group winner will be decided on a match that will be played on Saturday.
Nepal Police club looked strong and stable with additions of few new players with the likes of Yugol Kishor Rai. However the first attack came early from the losing side in 4th minute when Ganesh Lawati was all unmarked and his shot from as near as 8 yards found the inner side of the bar instead to deny the goal.
Police club remained the dominating side thereafter, Ramesh Katwal missing great chance in 10th minute as his first touch left footed shot went miles away from the target. Another chance missed was after great team display; Bhola Silwal did well to deliver a ball to Jumanu in 18th minute while his first shot was saved by the keeper, the rebound ball falling on Yugol Kishor Rai whose header was blocked by the opponent defender.
The first goal came in 28th minute when Jumanu scored his first of the three goals, he flipped over the opponent keeper to give NPC the lead.
Nepal Police Club were awarded with great opportunity in 63rd minute of the game, Bhola Silwal’s long ball on Jumanu Rai was well judged who managed a ball to Yugol, however his final shot was directed to the keeper, the custodian was able to manage a block to the shot.
Jumanu Rai scored his hat trick scoring on 64th and 75th minute respectively, the hat trick coming from a powerful shot on the top corner which the APF keeper Amrit Chaudary could do nothing about.
Despite of the three goals lead, Nepal Police Club remained the attacking side even after, however they missed few chances ending the match 3-0.
