India hosts Nepal in Siliguri on 19th November, exactly the date when election is being held in Nepal. The host stadium remains close from border but the fans from this side of the border could not travel, following border’s seal during the election. When Nepal last played India, it was Nepal’s victory in the home ground in SAFF championship two months back. Anil Gurung and Jumanu Rai scored a piece for Nepal while Rahim Nabi pulled back one in injury time to conclude the game 2-1.

Shiva Shrestha, inform striker Deepak Rai and Jitendra Karki are new faces compared to SAFF squad that played in Nepal.

In the same time, India has come up with 1-1 draw against Philippians in their first friendly match in front of 20,000 supporters. A goal from Sunil Chhetri in ending period of the initial half was equalized a minute later by Younghusband as the teams played a stalemate.
