Swedish national  Johan Kalin has been appointed head coach of NMB Machhindra FC.

Kalin is a UEFA “A” Licensed coach and an Instructor for UEFA “B” courses. He will Most likely be the highest certified coach in the Martyr’s League A Division.

Kalin has also spent time observing the Borussia Monchengladbach ( Germany) and Miramar Missiones (Uruguay) youth academies.

35 years old Kalin is on an initial 6 month contract with the option to renew at the end of the season. Financial details of Kalin’s contract is private. He arrived in Kathmandu on 3rd November 2013.

Johan Kalin said  ,” It feels good to be the coach of NMB Bank Machhindra FC and I am looking forward to meeting the players and start to work. I like the ambition of the club and I am glad to be a part of that. After working in Sweden all my life, I am looking forward to the challenge of working in another country and culture”. He added , ”  I know the Nepali national team, I have seen them in Delhi SAFF. I know a bit about football of South Asia and Its not a same football as India but I guess it will help me”.

Machhindra FC  vice president Biplav Gautam said , ”  It’s an honor to have him in the club and I know him since 6-7 years. When I think about the front coach for the club I thought about him. We did several interviews. He knows environment of  South Asia very well so we signed him according to the rules and regulations”.

Now, club will held three weeks long training session from Monday for Ncell Cup with 18 available players with some players from trails and club is in the process of talking with three Pakistani players.
