AFC U19 Qualifiers – India’s Late Gasp defeats Nepal

India finds late goal which proved enough to collect three point in AFC U19 championship against disestablished Nepal.

Nepal were tested very often in the first half as India looked more superior in attack from the beginning of the game, however Nepal escaped couple of attacks and missed on a few goal scoring opportunities to end the half goalless.

The second half came in a improved manner from Nepal, who earned early corner as a sing of attack, however failed to create any threat to opponent goalkeeper later in the game.

India remained superior in attack and came as near to the lead in 75th minute, however the shot was blocked by Nepalese stopper Alan Neupane to deny the goal. Despite, Faiaz struck enough in 86th minute for India to give them first three point in their second match.

Meanwhile Uzbekistan defeated Turkmenistan 1-0 in the first match played today.
