Machindra Fails on a Do or Die Match

Machindra failes to register in a do or die match against Army which rules them out of the group B match in Ncell cup Tournament.

Tribhuwan Army proceeds to next round of the Ncell cup as they register second win in the group stage match. Army found the win as Tanka Basnet scored the only one in the first half.

Army dominated the attack in the first half of the game. Bharat Khawas displayed brilliant run failing to make final move into the goal as Army missed some early chances until Khawas himself delivered the ball inside the box in the 21st minutes which Tanka Bahadur Basnet did not miss to score.

After Karna Limbu failed to score two minutes later, there were no other goals seen till the whistle blew after the first half.

The decisive goal confirmed Army’s spot in the Round of 8 where Manang Marsyangdi from the same group have already stepped into with one game remaining in their hand.

Machindra even though tried some shots and got some chances in the second half, their strikers were not strong enough to score which got them back throughout the whole match.  Bharat Khawas got an early chance in the second half which hit the bar ruling off Army’s chance to double the lead. Machindra lost every chance to equalize as their first attempt in 84′ was saved by keeper and four minutes later Bishal Rai was unable to convert great chance.
