It was previously stated by ANFA official’s that two youngster duo Bimal and Ananta were added in 25 men squad for foreign experience only. Ananta had fine SAFF u-16 and he will be playing AFC u-16 qualifiers next month at home. The physically and technically built defender and can be the future starter in the national team. It’s full gain for Ananta in this stage.

2. Tek Bahadur Budathoki:

Tek bahadur Budathoki

Tek Bahadur Budathoki had wonderful British Gurkha Cup as his team went through the Final after the delightful performance from Tanka and him. But Tek failed to carry his performance in the matches played at Gulf tour and he became one of five players in the left out list.

Tek debuted for national team on 12th March, 2012 against Turkmenistan and it’s only match he appeared till now.

3. Bijay Dhimal:

Bijay Dhimal

Bijay Dhimal was in his peak last year with Three Star Club and was called for the National Team for first time by current coach ahead of the challenge cup. But this year’s its different as Bijay isn’t one of the starter in TSC after the arrival of the Sabindra Shrestha from MMC. Bijay didn’t get proper time in the field in British Gurkha cup which was also first tournament of this calender year. Bijay was rarely used by coaches during the gulf tour.

Bijay once appeared for National team during the match against Pakistan on 2th Feb 2013.

4. Nirajan Khadka:

Nirajan Khadka

The name which is consider as one of the most gifted midfielder produced by ANFA academy is ruled out from squad ahead of the prestigious tournament. He was one of the regular squad member from 2008. Nirajan missed few months after getting hamstring and joined Three Star Club where he was rarely used. Looking at the Nirajan’s careers it was his worst year as he failed to perform well in the tournaments. Nirajan wasn’t the same Nirajan who use to pass the ball, beat the players and track for the ball.

Nirajan debut for National team in 25th March 2008 against Pakistan and have already been featured 26 times.

Bijay Gurung:

Bijay Gurung

This is totally unpredictable as Bijay it out from squad. Nepali David Silva, beats the players, cutter, cross and attack, who can play as a central attacking mid field and left wing is left out from the squad. He was one of the best Nepali player is last SAFF. Bijay wasn’t used in most of the matches by TSC. But the time have arrived as Jagjeet have been putting his foot right at the position of Bijay and now Gurung needs to improve a lot to gain his position back in the team.

Bijay Gurung started his international career from 8th December 2005 and have already appear 28 times for the country.
