Nepal Police club defeats Nepal Army club 1-0 in finals of first Pradhan Senapati Women’s football championship running shield to claim the title.
Nepal Police club sidelined Army in the finals of first Chief Of Army Staff National Women football championship played at Army Headquarter, Bhadrakali. Police got ahead in second half after Nepal Army club jersey number six Ishwori Magar headed in her own net. Police entered finals beating third place APF 3-1 in an interesting match while Army made easy way marking 5-1 victory over Far Western side.
The win also remained special for lady cops as the league winners won knock out championship for the first time in the first knockout competition of the year.
The winning side bagged NRS 3 Lakhs while the runnerups were awarded with 1 lakhs 50 thousand . The winning side striker Niru Thapa was announced best player of the tournament and bagged Yamaha scooter.
