Nepal Army and Nepal Police club women’s team set date for final in first Pradhan Sena Pati cup.
Nepal Army club sidelined Far Western development region 5-1 in first semifinal match in Chief Of Army Staff 1st National Women football championship while Nepal Police club defeated APF 3-1 in departmental derby played at Army Head Quarter, Bhadrakali.
Nepal Army dominated on 5-1 victory over Far Westers. Krishna Khatri scored twice for Army while Kabita Dhimal, Deepa Adhikari and Bhujunga scored a piece. Mina Choudary scored consolation goal for Army utilizing mis communication between Army’s defense and goalkeeper as Mina utilized laggy pitch that stopped back pass from defender to goal keeper to score consolation.
Meanwhile APF could not hold on to first half lead to get behind in second half. Anu Lama scored for APF in earlier half while Niru Lama’s double and Rupa Magar’s addition confirmed Police’s place in the final.
The winner of the tournament bags NRS 3 lakhs. Eight teams, five development regions and Three departmental teams were involved in knock out tournament.
