Three Star second half winner confirms RCT’s fortune as RaniPokhari Corner Team advances to next round as group runner ups.

APF got the lead early in the game as Ganesh Lawati scored from a beautiful volley. The volley was scored in 10th minute from Top Bahadur Bista’s cross from right flank which was well collected by Ganesh Lawati.

Three Star club chased back for equilizer, however they could not find one at the end of first half. Jagjeet Shrestha delivered some crosses but could not find any of his team mates.

APF chance for doubling the lead was denied by Kiran Chemjong in 40th minute as Chemjong overcomes Sabindra’s mistake to clear the danger.

APF were down to 10 men as Bhim Bahadur Shrestha was booked for second time for challenging Dodoz. He was booked earlier in first half for time wasting.

Three Stars missed equalizing chance as Dodoz’s nice run and cross could not find target on Sahukhala’s tap.

Three star club found two quick goals within 5 minute to come from behind and take the lead. Bijay Gurung traced his name on both the goals. The first goal came in 79th minute when Bijay Gurung scored in Sahukhala’s free kick. Gurung headed on a free kick which was delivered from inside the box as APF goalkeeper Amit Kumar Choudary was found culprit to handle the back pass from his team mate.

Three Star got ahead on Dodoz’s goal as Bijay Gurung’s attempt was not well connected but somehow luckily it landed on Dodoz’s feet who made first touch goal.

Three Star proceeds to next round as group B winners while RCT take advantage on APF defeat as RCT are to the next round of the tournament.
