Boudha FC stops NPC in a draw as Subin Shrestha found an equalizer in the second half and compelled NPC to satisfy with a single point.
Police found the first half lead as defender Dipendra Poudel scored on a corner ball from Parbat Pandey in the additional time of the first half. The lead was equalized later in the early minute of the second half as Subin Shrestha utilized the deflected ball from Ritesh Thapa to find the net.
Boudha started the attacking game from the first half as they displayed some impressive move and created some chances early in the matches but they could not direct the ball into the target which did not make Ritesh Thapa exercise. Although Police controlled the possession later, Boudha’s defender proved vital role in the match as they marked every player and stopped them to attack.
Second half started with Boudha trailing from behind, displayed some moves but never succeeded to score until Ritesh Thapa along with his defenders made crucial mistake in the defence allowing Subin Shrestha to utilize the opportunity scoring first time for Police.
Boudha FC were impressive in defense later after the equalizer which helped them earn 1 points and making the path to semifinals more easier.
Police Coach Birat Krishna Shrestha accepted the fact as he claimed the mistake was from both keepers and defenders which costed them a goal.
Boudha FC will play Saraswati while Police will have a clash with Jawalakhel in their last match of the group stage.
