Messi’s prison sentence lifted for fine

Argentina’s striker Lionel Messi’s prison sentence has been lifted  as per Spanish court as the Barccelona forward, who recently got married amid a huge ceremony paid fine.

The Barcelona Striker and his father were found guilty of three counts of breaching tax amount about 4.1 million euros (3.63 million pounds) in image rights.

The Spanish high court adviced 21 months jail term for the Argentine striker. However the player would not have to face jail terms as defendants without previous conviction would not have to serve jail terms as they would be on probation.

Messi is believed to paid quarter-of-a-million-euro fine in exchange of the jail term. Similarly his father who was also advice 15 months jail term also paid 1,80,000 euro in exchange of his terms.
