Pochettino took issue with Liverpool for complaining about a tackle by Harry Winks, while the dug-outs also argued over two penalty claims.
Mauricio Pochettino clashed with Jurgen Klopp as Tottenham crashed out of the EFL Cup at Anfield.
Pochettino took issue with Liverpool for complaining about a tackle by Harry Winks when he appealed Liverpool debutant Trent Alexander Arnold should have been dismissed for a foul on Ben Davies.
The rival dug-outs also argued over two penalty claims when referee Jon Moss awarded Spurs a spot-kick for Lucas’ challenge on Erik Lamela, but ignored their appeal over Alberto Moreno’s tackle on Lamela.
Spurs converted the penalty and Pochettino said: “I think it was strange that at the end of the game they started to complain.
“The full back, Alexander-Arnold, should have been sent off for his tackle.”
“It was strange when their bench started to complain with another bench.”
