The French international, 23, returned to Old Trafford in an £89million deal during the summer, after spending four years in Italy with Juventus, having walked out on United in 2012.

During his time in Turin, Pogbadeveloped as one of the most promising stars in world football, winning four Serie A titles.

However his much heralded return to Manchester hasn’t gone to plan so far, with a host of criticism being aimed at the player over his displays.

Mourinho also hasn’t escaped questioning, with regards to his use of Pogba, who has so far flitted between positions at the base of midfield, or the No.10 role, in Mourinho’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.

But the United boss doesn’t believe that the heart of the issue is where Pogba is positioned, but rather just the need for him to familiarize to life back in England.
