Manchester City have signed Colombia forward Marlos Moreno for £4.75m on a five-year deal from Atletico Nacional.
The 19-year-old will go out on layaway to Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna for the 2016-17 season.
He finds the opportunity to be Pep Guardiola’s third signing this week, after the entry of winger Leroy Sane from Schalke and forward Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.
Guardiola’s overall spending since supplanting Manuel Pellegrini as supervisor in July now surpasses £100m.
Moreno told the club site: “Pep Guardiola is one of the best coach on the planet. I think he acknowledges youthful players particularly and he can enhance youth players intentionally and technically.
“It will be psyche boggling to work with him and to be somewhat of a sublime match.”
Notwithstanding empowering his present squad, past Bayern Munich and Barcelona head boss Guardiola has formed signing especially surveyed more youth players for what’s to come.
The Spaniard is so far aiming to sign a central defender, with Everton’s English international John Stones his top target.
