The Southampton manager needs to keep his squad together in front of next season, yet acknowledges his players could be pulled in to prominent groua playing in Europe’s tip top rivalry
Southampton director Ronald Koeman says just clubs playing Champions League football will have the capacity to prise away his best players.
Koeman has one season left on his arrangement at St Mary’s and will look for confirmations over the club’s capacity to keep their best players in any examinations about augmenting his agreement.
Sadio Mane and Victor Wanyama have both been connected with moves and the Dutch administrator knows it will be hard to prevent players from leaving for clubs playing in UEFA’s tip top rivalry.
“We know we are Southampton, [we would] like to keep everyone in [the squad] yet at the same time, for a Southampton player, if a major group in the Champions Association comes [in] it is continually fascinating for the player,” he said.
“I can specify to the club that no one can leave as I did in January however I don’t make the last bring in this club, is the load up.
