Gunners have finished the marking of midfielder Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel on a long haul get, the Premier League club have confirmed.
The Egyptian’s landing has been inevitable since he missed preparing on Monday to hold chats with the Gunners and experience a medicinal, and he has now put pen to paper on an arrangement worth a reported £5 million.
Elneny turns into the first outfield player Arsenal have marked in a year, since Gabriel touched base from Villarreal last January, with Petr Cech notoriously the main marking made over the late spring.
The 23-year-old has been topped 39 times by Egypt and has delighted in a genuine surge in structure this term, scoring four objectives in 21 appearances for Basel this season and inspiring in the Europa League
