Since the start of Premier League season, like the previous seasons – Swansea have continued to spring surprises with their early season form.

Swansea City boss Garry Monk optimistic Ayew-Gomis partnership will last long

With Gomis and Ayew both bagging lots of goals, Swansea are firmly placed in the top four and manager Garry Monk is hoping the partnership will flourish throughout the season. Gomis arrived on a free transfer from Lyon last season and was second fiddle to Wilfried Bony. But since the departure of Ivorian International for a record fee to  Manchester city, Gomis has been handed the goal scoring duties and he is serving well if not better.

Similar to Gomis, Andre Ayew was subject to agree personal terms with Spurs but Swansea lured him to the Liberty Stadium on a free and he is doing wonders. With goals against Chelsea and Manchester United proving winners, Ayew’s former team Marseille will dearly miss the Ghanain striker who can also operate as winger.
