Louis Van Gaal to pick De Gea over Romero as Spanish goalkeeper stays at Manchester after transfer gaffe

One of the most bizarre transfer business happened when the clubs and player agreed for the deal but due to time constraint, the deal did not go through. Both the clubs are now involved in blame game as Real Madrid and United both released a statement each clarifying their position in the deal. At the end of the day, David De Gea is forced to stay at Madrid and with Sergio Romero playing as first choice goalkeeper, Van Gaal’s decision is much expected.

Romero was yet to conceded a goal until the side slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Swansea. Romero was poor in both the goals and with 3 cleasheets in four matches, Romero has a point to prove as well. Both the goalkeeper have been called up into their respective nations and both are expected to start in both matches.
