The traditional rivalry between India and Nepal is still on as India will be hosting International friendly match against Nepal today in Belwade Stadium, Pune.
Nepal will be looking to silent their critics by scoring a goal in the international match after two years. The last time Nepal scored an international goal was on September, 2013 against India in the SAFF championship.
Four youth players from u-19 SAFF winning team are included in Nepali national team squad which also increase the motivation for the senior team players.

India have a good record against Nepal in the 17 matches played between them as the Blue have hauled success in the 12 matches while 3 matches ended as a draw. The last victory of Nepal came against India was on SAFF championship 2013. The last match between these two team ended as a draw played in Kathmandu which was a return leg of the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifier.
The new head coach of the Nepali national team Patrick Ommens is also in Pune to watch the match although coach Dhurba K.C is in charge of the team for the first and last time in his current term. After this match the role of KC will be transformed into the technical director of the All Nepal Football Association.
