Chelsea preparing to hijack Manchester United’s attempt to sign Nicolas Otamendi

Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi is set to make a move away from Spain and with Manchester United preparing a bid, there could be a hiccup for Ed Woodward.

Starting with Daley Blind in the center half alongside Chris Smalling is not what a Manchester United fan would be expecting for the rest of the season even though they have managed to keep the clean sheet in both the matches. With Marcos Rojo lacking full fitness and Evans not upto the mark, Van Gaal and co are expected to bring at least one center half ahead of the end of transfer window. Valencia have already rejected United’s £25million bid early in th window and nothing less than £30millions will see the deal advance.

With Chelsea’s defensive woes proving costly, Mourinho is expected to cause a makeover at the back in Stamford Bridge. Chelsea’s skipper John Terry and Gary Cahill look weak and could lose place to youngster Kurt Zouma.
