Liverpool complete transfer of Christian Benteke from Aston Villa

Liverpool have completed signing of long term target Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke.

Aston Villa have sold Belgian International Forward Christian Benteketo  Liverpool FC. Tottenham Hotspur were also said to be interested in the forward but did not make any official approach. Since departure of Luis Suarez in last season, the attackers looked out of form and with Sterling leaving for City, Rodgers saw a point of improvement.

With the inclusion of Benteke, there might be some changes in the Anfield attack line. Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli could both leave while Roberto Firmino, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho will all start for the reds. Benteke is one of the few inclusions in this transfer window. Liverpool already signed Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton and Roberto Firmino from Hoffeheim. Danny Ings also joined on a free transfer from Burnley.
