Manchester United complete transfer of Matteo Darmian from Torino

Manchester United have completed signing of Matteo Darmian from Torino after agreeing transfer fee and personal terms.

Matteo Darmian has left Torino in order to complete his medical at Manchester United as the versatile defender closes in to join English Premier League club. The Italian International defender has already left Milan airport in order to complete the formalities. 25 year old Italian is second major signing for Louis Van Gaal’s team after the arrival of Dutch International midfielder Memphis Depay from League Champions PSV.

Darmian was heavily linked with a move away from Torino with other Italian clubs linked as well. The defender chose not to sign for rival clubs and join United who were watching the defender since long ago. The right footed full back also has capability to operate as wide midfielder and will join Van Gaal’s side as the medical formalities are over.
