AC Milan have sacked Italian manager Filippo Inzaghi after just one season at the helm.
After yet another dismal performance in the league and cup, AC Milan have parted away with manager DIlippo Inzaghi. The former AC Milan player finished lowly 10th in the league which put Milan out of reach for European places. Ingazhi, who signed a two year contract at the start of last season could not make the board happy and faced the axe today. The Italian took charge of the team in last part of 2013/14 campaign as well.
AC Milan’s official statement states that : “AC Milan announces it has dismissed first team coach Filippo Inzaghi and thanks him for the work done.”
It is said that Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic is expected to take the charge of managerial duties at the San Siro. The manager parted away from the Genoa outfit last term and will be looking to bring Milan’s league campaign back on track after two poor seasons domestically.
